Rocky places in Ardenya

This is a route through the Ardenya by paths that link different rocky places of this mountain.
We’ll start in Sant Feliu, taking a nice path that runs around Roca Tosa. We’ll go on to Solius castle, which is placed on top of a rocky hill. Beside, it stands Roca dels Moros with its little cave, dug in the rocks. We’ll cycle to Roques Bessones (in the picture) and we’ll go down by a lovely descent in Roca Ponça zone. We’ll reach can Duran col by the old trail of can Dalmau and we’ll find a path that goes deep into Montclar shady spot. The entire zone is full of rockeries that stand above the woods. We’ll be then in Sant Baldiri col. We’ll cross the old vegetable gardens of can Codolar by a path that leads us to a main trail that goes to the big es Carro Cremat rocky place. Every year a little crib is placed in a shelter of this huge rock. We’ll continue by Mula Espenyada path, cycling up to les Sorres, until we’ll reach Mare de Déu col. From here, we’ll start the long descent by Milana path, Portes col and Comes stream. Halfway the Milana path, it is worth stopping at the different Puig del Cantó rocky places in order to stare at the breathtaking panoramic views over les Penyes coast.
It is very interesting to know all the types of rocky places that we find in these mountains. In fact, Sant Feliu skyline on the west side is made up by Puig de les Cols and Puig Gros, full of rocks scattered in a messy way over the mountain, giving strength and singularity to it.
